New Danville Mennonite Church

We Believe:

  • The Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired and infallible Word of God.

  • In one living and true God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • That man, made perfect, fell into sin and is therefore lost and apart from God.

  • That the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for salvation.

  • In the Holy Spirit's work of regeneration of sinful man.

  • In believer's baptism upon confession of faith in Jesus Christ.

  • In the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus.

  • In loving all people, even our enemies.

Our Worship:

Uses contemporary and traditional music styles, singing hymns and choruses with various instrumentation.

We are ordinary people following an EXTRAORDINARY GOD!

About the Mennonite Denomination

Like other denominations, the Mennonites took their name from an early follower of Jesus Christ, Menno Simons. Menno Simons was an anabaptist, (one who believed in believer's baptism and not infant baptism) who lived in the 16th century. The followers of Menno were persecuted for their beliefs and fled to countries that offered religious freedom. Many came to America.
